I’m Ben Lee, a Democrat on the Board of Representatives. My vision is to build the schools our children deserve.

I believe that we have great teachers and students here in Stamford, and that we let them down by sending them into crumbling, underfunded buildings. I also believe that if we give those teachers and students the buildings and funding they deserve, we can unlock our district's true potential.

Rebuilding our schools and fully funding our budget won't be easy, but as a former Army officer who served in Afghanistan, I'm no stranger to tough challenges. As a local official, I've learned how our budget process works and been in our schools. I've developed the expertise and relationships to confront a broken process, fix the dysfunction on the Board of Education, and advocate for a bold vision for fixing our schools.

I earned my B.A. from Hamilton College and my J.D. from Georgetown, and am a practicing attorney for an international law firm. My wife Emily and I live in Glenbrook with our two children, Matthew and Claire.
